| Joliet Junior College (JJC) opened the Weitendorf Agricultural Education Center (WAEC) in June 2007 on 32 acres of land donated by John H. Weitendorf, Sr., a 1942 alumnus of JJC. While the center's primary focus is education, the 30,500 square foot facility is available for outside groups and could be an ideal location for your next meeting or event. Our facility offers four meeting/class rooms, equipped with data projectors and screens, a computer with a podium, white boards, and internet access. These meeting rooms can accommodate up to 40 people individually, or they can be opened up into two larger rooms, accommodating 80 people each. The center has two event spaces--an arena at 10,800 sq. ft. and an exhibit hall at 6,900 sq. ft. Tables, chairs, a sound system, and free WiFi access are available in these areas. Portable A/V equipment can be brought in with advance notice. JJC's Food Service Department can accommodate catering requests. We are conveniently located just minutes off I-80 between the Route 53 and Briggs Street exits (across from the Chicagoland Speedway).
